TAX & ACCOUNTING CONFERENCE FOR COOPERATIVES

Annual Meeting
Each year's Annual Meeting contains a technical program developed by the Host Chapter Committee who selects a Program Committee to ensure sessions are professionally rewarding and stimulating. The meetings feature presentations by recognized experts and panel discussions concerning accounting, taxation, financing and management methods employed by both large and small cooperatives. Invited speakers include individuals who possess a national reputation and hold positions of significant responsibility. Their papers deal with subjects of significant interest to cooperatives and their professional advisors. Concurrent sessions are often scheduled in order to provide participants with an opportunity to attend the sessions designed specifically to cover their special interests and needs. Participants are able to earn 10.5 hours of CPE credits this year.

Tax Seminar
A one-day Tax Seminar, offering 8 hours of CPE credits this year, is held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. It is conducted by the NSAC Tax Committee. Separate sessions are offered to cover basic cooperative tax issues for individuals with limited experience with cooperative tax regulations and to cover more advanced tax developments and problem areas for more experienced participants.

Electric Co-op Annual Chapter Meeting
This year the Electric Co-op Chapter is holding its Annual Meeting in conjunction with the National Convention and is offering up to 20 hours of CPE credit. Normally, a one and a half-day seminar, it has expanded to include sessions with the National Convention, all day Tuesday and until noon on Wednesday, if so desired. A four-hour pre-conference session is available on Sunday afternoon, August 5.
